Affiliate marketing can be complicated and a bit confusing if you are not sure what you're doing.

As I try more and more to learn about how to be successful at affiliate marketing, the harder it feels to get someone to buy what I'm selling.

I've seen my Google Adwords account skyrocket without as much as one sale. It just amazes me that over 100 people can be sent to a sales page and not a single person buys.

I don't care how bad your ads, keywords, etc... it just doesn't seem mathmatically possible to not get at the least 1 out of 100 people to purchase your offering.

Lately I have been testing pay per lead affiliate programs. So far the response has been pretty good.

Pay per lead affiliate programs are programs where you can get paid just for getting the prospect to fill out a form, survey, etc. They don't have to make a purchase for you to get paid.

Unlike paid per sale programs which require full payment, pay per lead affiliate programs are a lot easier to convert and profit from, because the prospect never has to take out there wallet.

Although you won't get paid as much as you will with a pay per sale. Most pay per lead programs will get you profits in the range of $0.50 - $5.00+. Not a huge amount of money, but when you take into consideration that you should convert twice the amount of pay per leads as you would a pay per sale product, the profit will most definitely add up.

I have found that by using pay per lead affiliate programs I am able to breakeven a lot faster on my PPC advertising.

If you can be successful at using PPC advertising to build an opt-in list and breakeven or profit utilizing pay per lead affiliate programs then you are miles ahead of the game.

There are lots of good pay per lead affiliate programs available for any category.

If you're just starting with affiliate marketing, I would recommend using pay per lead affiliate programs until you learn the necessary tricks and strategies of selling pay per sale programs.

This way you have a better chance of seeing some money flowing in to supplement any advertising that you do.
