Good food and plenty of it is always a good thing. Consider serving chili, chicken wings, deviled eggs and chips and dip. For your vegetarian guests, a nice veggie tray with a dip will go over well. Raw broccoli, carrots, celery, cauliflower and cucumbers are basic enough to please anyone. Vegetables go great with many dips. Such as ranch, French onion, or for a more exotic flavor, try hummus.

If the food doesn't get them going, the alcohol will. For hardcore drinking friends and relatives, the punch bowl filled with part juice and 3 parts rum and/or vodka is sure to draw a crowd. For the ladies, perhaps a blender for daiquiris and other cutesy umbrella drinks. Just don't forget the umbrellas.

Try filling a trash pail, lined with a plastic bag, with ice and stocking it with a variety of domestic and international beers. Be sure to have a bottle opener on hand for the international beers. Unless, of course, one of your party games is a tooth breaking contest, as people try opening them in their mouths.

Speaking of party games, you can have fun with several football related games. One example could be a touch football game in the backyard with the fans of each team on the same side. Another idea is predictions. Beginning with the opening coin toss all the way to the final score of the game, players can guess what will happen. Winner wins all the leftover food and booze!

With good food and lots of fun activities, your party will be the most talked about event for months to come. Maybe even until next Super Bowl. Have fun and be safe.

The Super Bowl is at halftime and the game is a blowout. Your guests are getting fidgety and you know they really have no interest in watching what is sure to be a boring second half. It is time for some halftime entertainment ideas for football.

First of all, let's talk about what not to do. Do not trot out your slide show of recent vacation photos from your tour of historic homes. Don't call your pet cat to come over and perform its latest trick. Rather, select things that will actively engage and amuse your guests.

One idea could be a football themed game of charades. In this game people can do impressions of their favorite players or football signals, such as penalties. To really get the crowed going, be sure to have two people act out the center quarterback exchange.

If, during the second quarter you sense the game is losing viewer interest, because one team is so far ahead, try to arrange for your cooked food to be ready as soon as halftime begins. In other words, put those steaks, chicken legs, hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill later than sooner.

Put together a contest for the guests to see who can come up with winning predictions for the second half of the game. This could be how many total points will be scored, which team will be scored first, the number of field goals are kicked, and who is selected as super bowl MVP. The top guesser can be awarded all the left-over food and drinks.

Most of the time, your guests will be enjoying your party regardless of the score at halftime. However, if all else fails, bring out a portable karaoke machine and insist that each guest take a turn at singing along with the halftime entertainment band. If there is one thing that gets folks on their feet, this is it.

A Super Bowl party is a great time to get fiends and family together. It is the one time when you can have twenty people all of which cheer for their own favorite team. The feeling of excitement will spread out among friendly competition when the preparations are done beforehand. The Super Bowl Party Supplies you choose are an essential for any good party to stay active throughout the entire game.

It is more fun when fans from both teams are present for watching the game. When decorating for a football party use colors from both teams. Use one team's colors on one side of the room and the other teams colors on the other side of the room.

Any food items that can be prepared ahead of time the more time you will have to enjoy the game. Have plenty of bowls with chips and dip sitting throughout the area. A crock pot with little sausages cooked in your famous BBQ sauce will be a big hit. Drinks should be stored in coolers scattered about the game area as to prevent guests from missing a score due to getting up for a beverage.

During half time is perfect for serving the more hearty food items. Have a grill outside and ready to go for grilling burgers and hot dogs during half time. For variety prepare ahead of time different styles of chili to serve with the meats. When making the chip dip use food coloring to put a hint of the teams color in each bowl.

It is hilarious to watch adults play games during half time so within your super bowl party supplies have something entertaining such as pinata in the shape of a football. These are great for filling with team paraphernalia. Be sure and hang the pinata in an area for safety in swinging the stick.

The food and games are important and there should be plenty of both to keep your guests cheering but the important thing to remember is everyone is there to have fun and watch some football. Having everything prepared ahead of time keeps you from continuously getting up to fill chip bowls and from missing a great touch down.
